Hang Seng Helps Nurturing Fintech Talent Through Designating CUHK Fintech Scholarship

With the memorandum of understanding for collaboration between Hang Seng Bank and CUHK Faculty of Engineering signed on December 2019, the two parties have been working closely together to foster the HK Fintech talent development through theory and practice. In year 2020, FinTecubator had joint hands with CUHK on applied research projects and summer internship for students nurturing.
To further support this initiative, FinTecubator, as an entity-level innovation programme of Hang Seng offers the designated Fintech Scholarships, for the CUHK students who have significant performance and result. For the academic year of 2020/21, FinTecubator identified the first scholarship recipient, Tia SHEN Yan. She had participated in the applied research and produced a financial game prototype to demonstrate her capability.
Brief biography of the scholarship recipient Tia Yan SHEN is as follows:
Tia Yan SHEN is a Master of Science in Financial Technology student at CUHK. Tia has been curious about finance, technology, games since university. Thanks to the opportunities provided by CUHK and Hang Seng Bank, Tia was able to learn how to integrate financial management into the game through technology. Hoping to better integrate finance into life through technology, she works hard to learn quantitative trading, artificial intelligence and financial knowledge. She aspires to establish her own startup company in Fintech industry.
