FinTecubator and HKSTP Joined Hands in Organizing an Open Banking FinTech Innovation Workshop

Co-organized by FinTecubator and HKSTP, a FinTech Innovation workshop focusing on Open API and Proprietary API solutions was held on 11 October 2021. Hang Seng’s business users from Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) and Commercial Banking (CMB) joined this physical event to seek for collaborations with innovative fintech companies.
With great emphasis on creating customer-centric products, Hang Seng constantly strives to bring new values to customers. Through mingling and pitching sessions, as well as direct breakout meetings, the physical workshop allowed both Hang Seng and the participating fintech companies to identify new business opportunities.
Lilian Tsang, WPB Senior FinTech and Partnership Manager, and William Chan, CMB Head of Innovation and Growth, promoted partnership opportunities with Hang Seng during their speeches by sharing how the bank can collaborate with the companies via APIs (Areas in HKMA Open API and Premium API). They also shared how fintech companies can partner with the bank to co-create new customer values and business opportunities to Hang Seng and their customers within the ecosystem.
As a team that drives bank-wide innovation, FinTecubator will continue to explore opportunities for Hang Seng Bank on Open Banking and innovative banking services through diverse channels, creating a better journey of technology adoption.
